The ICS complete is custom-made for international students abroad and for international students within The Netherlands who are not obliged to have the Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance.
ICS Start and ICS Start+ are supplementary insurances for international students who already have primary healthcare insurance, a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or a Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance.
Yes. Registrated partners and children may be insured under the ICS insurance, on the condition that;
• you are still enrolled as a student and you have your own ICS insurance;
• your partner or child's insurance period falls entirely within the validity period of your own ICS insurance with Aon;
• your partner or child buys the same ICS insurance as you have;
• each family member applies individually for their own ICS insurance.
During the application process you choose the option partner/child. Keep your policy number at hand during the application process.
Please note:
1. Partners and children pay a higher premium for the ICS Complete package (EUR 1,99 instead of EUR 1,31 per day).
2. The cover differs on several points from your own insurance cover. Please therefore check your insurance policy conditions carefully regarding this.
You are covered from the starting date that you requested in the application form.
Please note: The insurance cover is always on condition that Aon receives your premium on time. "On time" means within thirty days after notification of the premium.
Medical costs
ICS Complete and ICS Start+ cover essential medical costs, such as; dental, medical, physiotherapy, acupuncture, medicines, psychotherapies and medical transport. Note that the medical costs due to existing conditions, or for complaints that you know will occur during the insurance period, are not covered.
Pregnancy
The medical costs for an existing pregnancy are excluded. Cover for costs in connection with pregnancy and childbirth only applies to an Insured Person who is following a study programme or internship at a recognised Educational Facility. Partners, children, teachers and/or researchers are not eligible for reimbursement of these costs under this insurance.
Dental costs
Under ICS Complete and ICS Start+ insurance, the maximum insured amount for dental costs to relieve acute dental pain is EUR 350 per insurance year and the maximum insured amount for dental costs due to an accident is EUR 1,100 per insurance year.
Costs due to existing conditions or for complaints that you know will occur during the insurance period, are not covered.

Terms and Conditions
If you are already pregnant when you apply for the insurance, all costs arising from the pregnancy or childbirth are excluded from cover. Should you become pregnant after the starting date of your insurance, there is (limited) cover under the ICS Complete and ICS Start+.
(Medical) Costs in connection with pregnancy and childbirth are only covered if you are a Student following a study program or internship at a recognised Educational institute. Partners, children, teachers and researchers are not eligible for reimbursement of these costs under this insurance.
The liability section of the package covers the financial costs for matters such as damage you accidentally cause to another person or to their property.

The legal aid section of the package describes under which conditions you can receive compensation for legal help.
The accident section in the package offers compensation for permanent disability or death due to an accident that takes place within the validity period of the insurance.
Costs of glasses and contact lenses are for your own account and not covered.
There is one exception: There is coverage for loss, damage or theft of contact lenses / glasses during an insured trip under the Home contents and baggage insurance.
Included in the cover for 'extra costs' are; costs of flights should you unexpectedly need to return to your country of origin due to a death in the family. Alternatively, if you become seriously ill or injured, airline tickets for two of your family members to your destination (study) country will be reimbursed. Furthermore, costs due to emergencies such as an evacuation or repatriation under medical supervision or repatriation of your remains are also covered.
The Personal Items section covers:
- Damage to your property in your home in the country of destination due to fire, explosion, theft, vandalism, storm, rain, damage caused by leaking taps or aquariums and lightning.
- Loss, damage or theft of your Personal Items while you are travelling.
The Medical Expenses section of your ICS insurance offers cover for a period of at most eight consecutive weeks during a temporary stay in your Homeland or outside your Destination Country in connection with a trip.
The cover for the Medical Expenses section is also in force during an internship in your Homeland for a maximum of nine months.
