On our website you can simply get a quote for the premium of your requested period, by clicking at the button ‘advise me and get a quote’, without any obligation to take out this insurance. Pre-existing conditions
According to the  Policy Terms and Conditions No. 1.16 applicable to the Search Year Insurance, all pre-existing conditions are excluded from coverage according to  article 2.16 Exclusions. Employment during search year
Please note that, if you have found a job, you are obliged to take out a Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance. This means that your Search Year Insurance becomes invalid as per the start date of your employment. It needs to be cancelled by yourself, by logging in to your personal online account. Please make sure that you cancel your insurance as soon as possible, because it is impossible to backdate the cancellation of the Search Year Insurance. We will refund excess paid premium from your requested cancellation date.

Unfortunately, Aon cannot offer the Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance to Search Year students. In case of starting a job within your search year, you must find a Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance provider by yourself**.

* The Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB) can determine that you are insured under the WLZ scheme, this automatically means that you will have to apply for a Dutch basic healthcare insurance. Click here to go to the WLZ form. If the SVB determines that for you the Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance is not applicable, based on the investigation, you are not eligible to apply for this insurance.
** There are several providers. Aon also offers Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance for non-students on this page
